OCZ Technology Group’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) OCZNBIAS15DIYA 15.4-inch barebone gaming notebook is now available for purchase in the United States.
OCZ DIY program allows customers to purchase an unconfigured barebone notebook and customize is to their needs with the help of OCZ’s guides and direct support. Users can select operating system, processor, memory, and hard drive or solid state drive of choice.
The DIY system listed at Buy.com is based on Intel’s PM965 chipset paired with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 512MB video card. It supports, but does not include, Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of DDR2-667 memory, and 2.5-inch Serial ATA HDDs and SSDs.
The OCZNBIAS15DIYA is priced at $669.99 after $50.00 mail-in rebate.
My dad just bought the sager version. Same thing but pre built and with the sager name. Just a rebadged compal laptop. The sager version can be had for a pretty good price btw.
