The brand new Lenovo IdeaPad N585 – 59359186 15.6-inch laptop model is here to deliver a usable Windows 8 computing experience at an extremely cheap price. Featuring the latest AMD E1-1500 dual-core processor at 1.48GHz, conventional capacity of 4GB of RAM memory, and a less than averagely sized 320GB hard drive, Lenovo’s N585 – 59359186 doesn’t win benchmark victories, but it will enable you go online, complete office tasks, and play high-def multimedia, and all that for a price of only $280.
As you can see in the chart above, AMD’s E1 is among the lowest end laptop CPUs on today’s market. Any step up from the E1 is a good investment which will save you from sluggishness in some more hardware-demanding situations, but you will have to be ready to shell out more than $300.
To complement the entry core components, the N585 – 59359186 additionally provides all the features an average laptop on the market today has. It brings a DVD burner if you still make CDs and DVDs, a six-cell battery (with no official info on battery life), a 720p camera for Skype and other online chats, stereo speakers with sound enhanced by Dolby Audio, four USB ports for your peripherals and extrnal storage devices, HDMI and VGA screen connections, a 2-in-1 media card reader for reading your SD and MMC cards and Wi-Fi plus Gigabit LAN for Internet.
All this stuff is packed into a 1.4″ thick 5.6-pound casing, so the N585 – 59359186 is obviously rather a desktop replacement notebook than a companion of frequent travelers. What catches attention on this otherwise very simple looking notebook is the AccuType keyboard, well known for its ergonomics and it looks nice too.
Overall, the notebook will provide you with all necessary features at an unbeatable price. And price is probably the most important concern for those on a tight budget and many of them will accept somewhat low performance as a trade-off.

what kind of charger does this one take? I lost mine and need to buy a new one. can someone please let me know.
Can blender work perfectly in this lenovo n585?
I’m afraid no. Blender is hardware-demanding software and this laptop is very basic when it comes to performance. You’ll need a laptop with Intel’s Core i5/i7 series processors (or AMD’s equivalent like A12 series) and preferably a dedicated video card for Blender.
is it touchscreen or not?
No, it’s not.
So….what your saying is …..its not touch screen?
Really dude?
