Nvidia Outs GeForce GT 635M, GT 630M, 610M GPUs

Besides AMD, Nvidia has announced the new graphics processors for notebooks – the GeForce GT 635M, GT 630M and 610M.

These GPUs are just rebrands of the GeForce GT 550M, GT 540M, 520M, respectively, so there’s no peformace increase, nor new architecuture. The GT 635M, GT 630M and 610M are based on the 40-nanometer production process, just like the 500M series.

A greater update will be transition to 28nm process, which is expected to be used for production of other GeForce 600M series parts.

The Nvidia GeForce GT 635M has 144 or 96 stream processors and a 192-bit memory interface. The 128-bit GT 630M has 96 SPs, whereas the 64-bit 610M has 48.

Noteboks with the “new” graphics cards were not available on the market at the time of this writing.
