The Acer Aspire E5-571P-55TL is among the cheapest laptops with the speedy Intel Core i5 processor. In addition to the 4th Generation Core i5-4210U, the 15.6-inch E5-571P-55TL also sports touchscreen display, making it one of the best equipped 400-dollar laptops on the market.

The processor is a great solution not only for the daily home and office chores and satisfactory for video and photography editing as more hardware-demanding tasks. The CPU includes the Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics which is good for low-end gaming.

In other aspects, the E5-571P-55TL is an average budget-class 15.6-incher. The display has 1366×768-pixel resolution, RAM memory size is 4GB, and the hard drive is 500GB large. The laptop has stereo speakers and a 720p web camera. For networking, there are 802.11N Wi-Fi wireless and an Ethernet LAN jack. Selection of ports and slots includes three USB connectors, HDMI and VGA video ports, and a multi-format media card reader. The notebook is Bluetooth-enabled.

Besides the 10-point multi-touch screen, for interaction with OS and programs there are a full-size Chiclet-style keyboard with numeric pad but no backlight and a multi-touch trackpad with integrated “mouse” buttons.

Since this is a full-size laptop, one would expect it to have a built-in DVD burner. Unfortunately, it doesn’t.

The chassis is made of plastics, with matte black finish.

The user-removable 6-cell lithium-ion battery with 5000 mAh capacity is able to provide up to seven hours of battery life, according to Acer’s estimation.

    My husband is deceased and he had a computer that has a Acer Aspire E 15 Touch laptop with Windows 8.1 on it. When I turned it on it asks for a password which I do not know. How do I get into the computer? Thanks for your assistance.

      Hi, do you know if he used a Microsoft account username / email & password for logging into Windows? If that’s the case and you don’t know his MS account username / email & password, then I think you can’t log in into the existing Windows account on the laptop without previously resetting Windows (and loosing existing data if you don’t back it up). If he used only local account, there was a hack that worked on Windows 8.1 (it’s outdated Windows version now) that enables a password reset. Also, there was an option to create a password reset USB flash drive that can help? Do you have it? Anyway, if you’re aren’t an advanced Windows user, I think it’s best to get a professional service to either reset the password, or extract / backup existing data if you need it and install a fresh Windows copy.
