Asus ROG G751JY-DH71 17.3″ Gaming Laptop with Nvidia 980M, SSD

The Asus ROG G751JY-DH71 is a high-end configuration from the recently released G751 Republic of Gamers (RoG) notebook series. The gaming-centric 17.3-incher sports a Full HD display resolution, IPS wide viewing angle screen technology, an F-22 Raptor-inspired aluminum chassis with backlit keyboard in the center of it, stereo speakers with subwoofer, and many gaming-oriented features.

The G751JY-DH71 model in particular sports the world fastest laptop video card – the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M with 4GB of GDDR5 video memory. The processor is the Intel Core i7-4710HQ, among the most powerful notebook CPUs ever. Furthermore, storage and RAM are admirable. Alongside a 1-Terabyte 7,200rpm mechanical hard disk, the notebook packs 256GB of fast solid state drive storage in form of a miniature M.2-format module. There are 4 RAM slots, populated with 24GB of memory on this model. Instead of the classic DVD writer, the G751JY-DH71 sports an optical drive which can read and write Blu-ray media alongside DVDs and CDs.

Overall, this is one of the best equipped gaming laptops on the market. However, the pricing is considerably high, so if you don’t feel like spending $2500 on it, you can check out some of the cheaper configurations with the slower but still gaming-use GTX 970M and GTX 860M GPUs.
