Asus Q502LA-BBI5T12 15.6″ Convertible

The Asus Q502LA-BBI5T12 is yet another representative of the brand new breed of 15.6-inch touchscreen laptops. Those with a fully rotatable hinge, allowing the notebook to operate as a standard laptop, tablet-slate, or as a presentation screen in “tent” and “stand” modes.

From the traditional laptop user perspective, the Q502LA-BBI5T12 is a well-equipped system with Full HD display resolution and a thin 0.9″ chassis. It’s based on the mid-range Intel Core i5-4210U “Haswell” dual-core processor with the Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics and ships with 8GB of RAM memory. This means enough computing muscle for flawless work in Office applications, smooth web browsing, and seamless multitasking, as well as a decent potential for photo and video editing. Gaming performance is on the lower end, which means you’ll have to reduce detail settings and resolution in order to get playable frame rates.

The notebook ships with a generous 1-Terabyte hard drive, but has no built-in DVD optical drive. The keyboard has chiclet style keys in silver color, in contrast with dark gray aluminum chassis. The trackpad is a single-piece one, meaning that the buttons are integrated in it.

The Asus Q502LA-BBI5T12 sports stereo speakers and a frontal 1-megapixel camera. Selection of ports, slots, and networking features is well rounded. There are three USB 3.0 connectors, HDMI video jack, media card reader, Wi-Fi wireless, Gigabit LAN, and Bluetooth connections, and Intel Wireless Display technology.
