The HP Envy x360 15t 1ZA23AV_1 is a higher-end convertible 15.6-inch laptop. It sports the popular 2-in-1 PC design with display hinge that rotates 360 degrees. The hinge of this 0.8″ thin 4.7-pound aluminum 2-in-1 PC allows work in the classic laptop mode, slate/tablet mode, “tent”, and “stand”. Just like the lower-end HP Pavilion x360 15t, and other laptops with fully foldable design.

The centerpiece of the configurable Envy x360 15t 1ZA23AV_1 (model for year 2017) is its 15.6″ multi-touch display with IPS wide viewing angles. The glass-covered screen stands out with its very thin “micro-edge” vertical bezels. The basic screen resolution is Full HD. Optionally, the laptop is available with even sharper Ultra HD (4K) resolution.

HP’s Envy x360 15t 1ZA23AV_1 is one of the first 2-in-1 laptops with the 8th Generation Intel Core processors. Namely, the Intel Core i5-8250U and i7-8550U. These quad-core CPUs provide noticeably better performance in demanding tasks than their 7th Gen i5 and i7 dual-core counterparts. Especially, in applications with support for multi-threaded computing. For smoother gaming, HP optionally offers the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 4GB lower-mid-range dedicated video card, instead of only CPUs’ built-in Intel UHD 620. The chips are accompanied by 8 or 12 Gigabytes of system memory, and various storage options including a spacious 1-Terabyte hard drive, fast NVMe solid state drives up to 512GB and combinations of both HDDs and SSDs. The convertible doesn’t have a built-in optical drive.

Other important features of the HP Envy x360 15t 1ZA23AV_1 convertible are its full-size keyboard with backlight and numeric pad, a big touchpad, a TrueVision web camera with Full HD resolution and IR sensor for users’ face recognition, stereo speakers backed by Bang & Olufsen technology, an HDMI video port, small USB-C port with video output support, two standard-size USB 3.1 ports, a combo audio in / out jack, multiformat digital media card reader, 802.11AC Wi-Fi wireless, and Bluetooth.

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro operating system.

The 1ZA23AV_1 is customizabble on the official HP Store. The same laptop can be also found with pre-configured specs under model names such as Envy x360 15M-BP111DX or 15M-BP112DX. Furthermore, the same convertible is still available with the older 7th Gen CPUs in select stores.
