Lenovo ThinkPad T460s Thin-and-Light 14″ Business Laptop
The Lenovo ThinkPad T460s is a thinner and lighter version of the standard T460 business notebook. The 14-inch ThinkPad T460s weighs in at 3 pounds and is 0.7″ thick, down from 3.8 pounds and 0.8″ of the T460. The T460s still retains a durable military-tested casing, good internal components, and enterprise-class system management and security.
The ThinkPad T460s offers Full HD 1920×1080-pixel touchsreen or WQHD 2560×1440 non-touch display. Both screens feature IPS technology for wide viewing angles and anti-reflective coating. The keyboard consists of ergonomically-shaped keys with backlight beneath them. Furthermore, there’s a trackpad with integrated “mouse” buttons and ThinkPad’s recognizable TrackPoint stick in the middle of the keyboard, accompanied by physical buttons.

Processor selection includes the 6th Generation Intel Core “Skylake” processors. Namely, the mid-range i5-6200U, its Intel vPro system management and security enabled i5-6300U version, and upper-mid-range i7-6600U, also with vPro. Graphics processing relies on the Intel HD 520 integrated graphics. System memory size ranges between 8 and 20 Gigabytes, while solid state drive storage of the T460s offers capacity of up to 512GB.
The laptop has a battery life of up to 10 hours, according to Lenovo. The T460s doesn’t have Power Bridge hot-swappable battery technology present on the T460 series. (Note: By mistake, we previously claimed the laptop does have Power Bridge).

For sound reproduction there are stereo speakers and a combo headphones / mic audio port, both backed by Dolby Home Theater audio technology. Video conferencing is enabled via a 720p web camera, while Internet connection is delivered through 802.11AC Wi-Fi wireless and Gigabit Ethernet LAN wired interfaces, as well as optional 4G LTE mobile networking. The laptop also has Bluetooth interface, three USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort and HDMI connectors for external displays, a 4-in-1 media card reader, docking connector, and optional WiGig wide-bandwidth wireless interface for compatible docking stations. For enhanced security, the notebook sports a fingerprint reader, optional data encryption support, and optional SmartCard reader.
As for the operating system, the Lenovo ThinkPad T460 ships with either Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, or old Windows 7 Pro.

T460s does not have the powerbridge feature. Batteries are not as easily removeable as on previous T450s model as they are sealed in (though they are replaceable as the bottom cover easily comes off, requiring the removal of 5 screws).
