Lenovo Y70 Touch – 80DU000HUS 17.3″ Gaming Notebook

The Lenovo Y70 Touch – 80DU000HUS is the first available Y70 17.3″ gaming notebook PC model. The Y70 is an enlarged version of the popular 15.6-inch Lenovo Y50, with both having similar specs except the screen size, overall dimensions, and sound system.

The 80DU000HUS is a higher-end configuration. It comes with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M 4GB GDDR5 graphics card, Intel i7-4700HQ quad-core processor, 16GB of system memory, and a 512GB solid state drive. This setup ensures flawless everyday computing, video editing and other complex work, as well as smooth gaming experience on the notebook’s Full HD 1920×1080 display. By the way, it supports touch input, but doesn’t provide IPS wide viewing angle technology.

Unlike the Y50, the Y70 does have a built-in subwoofer besides a pair of stereo speakers.

All necessary connectivity and networking features are present, but the optical drive has been omitted.

The machine is exceptionally slim for a gaming-class laptop. It’s only 1″ thin. The Y70 is encased in a plastic chassis and has an ergonomic keyboard with backlight alongside a trackpad with integrated buttons.
