Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5308 Cheap 15.6″ Laptop with AMD E1 CPU

The 15.6-inch Toshiba’s C55D-B5308 model from the budget Satellite C-series notebook PC lineup is based on the AMD E1-2100 processor. The E1 belongs to the lowest end of the CPU spectrum. Its speed is sufficient only for the basic tasks of a regular home and office user: web surfing, work in Microsoft Office, audio and video playback, and playing simple games.

On the positive side, the C55D-B5308 with a 230-dollar price tag is one of the cheapest full-size notebooks on the market today. Alongside the AMD E1 and 15.6″ standard-resolution 1366-by-768-pixel screen, the laptop includes 4GB of RAM memory and a 500GB hard drive. These capacities are averagely sized and enable normal functioning of Windows OS and programs.

Other notable features of this plastic-cladded laptop are a built-in DVD burner drive, stereo speakers, a 720p web camera,three USB ports, HDMI vide jack, Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN network connections, and a multiformat card reader.

The notebook has no touchscreen, so all interaction with it is done via the full-size keyboard with numeric pad and multitouch trackpad.

There’s no info on battery life. The battery capacity is 32 WHr which is a mediocre value, so the battery life most likely won’t be longer than five hours.
