Intel Core i3-6100U 6th Gen ‘Skylake’ Lower-Mid-Tier Laptop CPU

The 6th Generation Intel Core i3-6100U is a lower-mid-range processor for notebook computers. The chip is an ideal solution for those who want smooth completion of the daily tasks, but want to save money by avoiding pricier Intel Core i5– and i7-based laptops. The i5 and i7 are a better option if you plan to use your laptop for some hardware-intensive work like media creation. Their better performance is greatly influenced by inclusion of Intel TurboBoost clock speed boosting technology, which is missing on the 2.3GHz i3-6100U. On the other hand, HyperThreading technology for multiple computing threads per core is present on the i3, as opposed to cheaper and slower CPUs like the Pentium N3700.
