  1. My Toshiba Satellite P845t-S4102 has been in storage for 4 years. I just retrieved it and the battery is mostly dead. I’ve ordered a new one and it will arrive in a few days. It turns on but notifies me that the battery is very low and instructs me to press “F2” to reset the clock. There is no “F2” on the keyboard. What is the alternate action to reset the clock. There are NO “F” numbers on this keyboard. Help! Can you send me an email with instructions?

    • There should be a row of F keys in the top row of the keyboard. They are marked with small f1, f2, etc besides the bigger main marks on these keys. The F functions should be accessible by holding down the Fn key In the lowest row and pressing one of the top row keys, if the functions don’t work by pressing the f keys alone.

      • Thank you Dan for your quick response. I have to admit I’m a bit embarrassed. I’ve had this computer for years, it really was my favorite, but when I got my iPad I stopped using it. I pulled it out of storage…I never did see the “F2” markings until just now. They are so faint under the current top level commands. They’re almost like small braille markings. I was about to insist to you that “No! There are no “F” keys. Then I tilted the computer and saw the markings for the first time. THANKS!

  2. I saw one in Best Buy today and was shocked at how much better the audio was than the Sony sitting next to it. I am considering this laptop, but I just wish it had better battery life.
