Besides the features listed in the table and the Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics, the 32nm chips include AVX, QuickSync, and Virtualization technologies.

The first “Sandy Bridge” laptops were based on the quad-core i7-2630QM, i7-2720QM, and i7-2820QM processors. Other CPU SKUs arrived to the market soon after the launch, except some ULV chips which are not available yet.

  1. It’s good that they found this problem as early as they did and are able to make adjustments before too many of the systems were purchased by consumers. It does make you wonder, however, if there are other issues with this chipset that have not yet been found.
