AMD Ryzen 3 5300U Laptop Processor

The AMD Ryzen 3 5300U is a lower-mid-range processor for laptops. It provides excellent performance for the daily home and office computing tasks, such as web browsing, text and spreadsheet editing, video conferencing and similar. With its four processing cores, the Ryzen 3 5300U is not as fast as more powerful six-core Ryzen 5 and even faster eight-core Ryzen 7. These differences are noticeable in intensive tasks like video editing, but not so much during light everyday computing.

The Ryzen 3 5300U features an AMD Radeon integrated graphics processor. IGPs generally support only light gaming, and Radeon graphics of this Ryzen 3 is no exception.

User Reviews and Q&A on the AMD Ryzen 3 5300U

Below you can read and submit user reviews, questions, and answers about the processor. Thank you for your contribution.

  1. Question

    Hiral Patel

Does it have free microsoft office ? Or do I have to buy the subscription/product key?

    • Dan

Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 subscription isn’t tied to the procesor. I don’t think any laptop with the Ryzen 3 5300U comes with free Office or 365, except a 1 month trial. Only some low end laptops come with a free 1 year Microsoft 365 subscription which includes Office programs.

  2. Question

    White mark

Does ryzen 3 5300u have heating issue

  3. Question

    khorazan

Is it possible to make a comparison in terms of heating based on the TDP value? or base CPU clock speed

  4. Question

    Horstie

some amd processors have warming problem. What about this one?

    • Dan

Generally, newer generations of AMD processors like the Ryzen 3 5300U don’t have excessive heating. Some older AMD CPUs run noticeably hotter than their Intel counterparts.

  5. Question

    Fatehah hanani

Can the amd ryzen 3 5300u support design software like AutoCAD??

    • Dan

Yes, it can and it’s a decent processor for that. However, the Ryzen 5 and 7 U series and especially the Ryzen 5, 7, and 9 H series can give you extra power for a smoother experience.
