The Dell Inspiron 13 i3378-3340GRY-PUS is a 2-in-1 convertible Windows laptop with a 13.3-inch display. It will be on sale during Microsoft Store’s Black Friday event for $399 after $200 off. The lightweight 3.4-pound 2-in-1 PC has decent, but not excellent specifications. Yes, the display as the most prominent part is nicely specced. The multi-touch-screen mounted on pair of 360-degree hinges has sharp Full HD resolution and IPS technology for wide viewing angles. Having keyboard backlight is a nice touch, too. But, the Inspiron 13 i3378-3340GRY-PUS is a lower-mid-range notebook performance-wise. The main drawbacks regarding internal components are a lack of an SSD drive and basic RAM size of 4GB. Instead, the laptop features slower yet capacious 1-Terabyte mechanical HDD storage. RAM size of 4 Gigabytes is small in comparison to 8GB found in most mid-range mainstream laptops and 2-in-1 PCs. 4GB is enough only for moderate multi-tasking. The included 7th Gen Intel Core i3-7100U processor is a lower-mid-tier part. Nevertheless, it can easily handle usual computing tasks of the average home and office user. Such as web browsing, MS Office-type productivity, and even some light gaming thanks to integrated Intel HD 620 graphics. It isn’t suitable only for heavy tasks like high-def video production or 3D modeling.
We applaud the PC maker for putting an infra-red sensor besides the standard web camera in this 2-in-1. The IR sensor on the Dell i3378-3340GRY-PUS enables face recognition. It makes system log-ins easier, without password typing. The 2-in-1 laptop also features stereo speakers, 802.11AC Wi-Fi wireless, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 ports and a USB 2.0 port, HDMI video out jack, an SD media card reader, and a combined audio in & out port.
The Dell Inspiron 13 i3378-3340GRY-PUS has a medium-size battery capacity for this type of a laptop. It’s a 42 WHr unit. There’s no info on battery life. Judging from the specs of the laptop, one can expect a battery life of around 5 hours with normal usage of the laptop.
