Dell Latitude 14 5000 E5440 (Customizable)
The 14-inch Dell Latitude 14 5000 E5440 laptop is a smaller version of the 15.6-inch E5540. Both are business-use notebooks with enterprise features, such as Intel vPro technology and Dell’s own solutions for remote system management and security, Professional versions of Windows, and others.
Besides the screen size, dimensions, and weight, the main differences are a lack of the numeric pad on the Dell Latitude 14 5000 E5440 and screen resolutions. Both have 1366×768 pixel count as the default one, but the 14-incher optionally provides 1600×900, whereas on the 15″ model the alternative is Full HD 1920×1080. On both laptops, touchscreen is optional. In addition, the smaller variant comes with up to 500GB of hard drive space, as opposed to 1-Terabyte, while solid state drive storage choice tops at 256GB on both models. Another difference is in the connectivity department. Besides Wi-Fi, Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth, the E5440 additionally provides mobile broadband Internet connectivity.
The notebooks are based on the Intel Core-series i3, i5 and i7 “Haswell” ultra-low voltage processors with Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics, optimized for a better power consumption while maintaining good performance for daily home and office tasks. Customers can order the laptops with either 4 or 8 Gigabytes of RAM memory and optional Nvidia GeForce GT 720M 2GB dedicated video card. A built-in DVD burner is a standard, while keyboard backlight is optional. A nice perk is ThinkPad TrackPoint-like pointing stick device located in the middle of the keyboard, but that feature is only optional, as well as a fingerprint and SmartCard readers.
The E5440 has a docking connector, which is an important feature for business laptops, stereo speakers, webcam, two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, HDMI and VGA video outputs, and a multi-format media card reader.
Battery choices are 4-cell , 6-cell, and 9-cell with 40, 65, and 97 Whr capacities, respectively. All three choices support fast battery charging.
All the components are wrapped up in a chassis that meets the MIL-STD-810G ruggedness standards. The Dell Latitude 14 5000 E5440 has a glass fiber LCD back cover. Thickness of this machine is 1.1-inch without the touchscreen and 1.3″ with it. The weight starts at 4.3 pounds.

The E5440 models with the Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics I would rate with 3 / 10 mark, wereas those with the Nvidia 720M are 4 / 10. On both you can play only the basic games like Minecraft, League of Legends, and CS GO on lowest settings.
