The Dell Latitude 5590 is a business-class notebook PC with a 15.6-inch display. Available display resolutions are basic HD or sharper Full HD. The latter variant additionally provides IPS wide viewing angles and is optionally available with touch-screen functionality.

Inside, the Dell Latitude 5590 packs the mid-range 7th Gen Intel Core i3 and i5 dual-core processors, or newer powerful quad-core 8th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors (i5-8250U, i5-8530U, or i7-8650U), up to 16GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive or up to 512GB of faster solid state drive storage. Dell offers the Latitude 5590 with three battery capacity options: 42 WHr, 51 WHr, and 68 WHr.

The 4.2-pound notebook features military spec-certified durability of the chassis and advanced security features such as optional fingerprint and SmartCard readers, and optional Windows Hello face recognition. Also, the Latitude 5590 stands out with its optional 4G LTE mobile Internet connection.
