The Dell XPS 15 9570, also known as XPS9570, is Dell’s flagship 15.6-inch laptop model. The XPS 15 9570 / XPS9570 stands out with a sleek chassis made of premium-class materials and powerful internal components.
Starting at $999 and 4 pounds, the notebook has carbon-fiber palmrests and aluminum display lid. The display of the 9570 can be either a Full HD non-touch panel or even sharper 4K touch-screen with active pen input support. Both variants provide IPS wide viewing angles, anti-glare coating, and thin display bezels. The keyboard has backlight, but unlike most of other 15.6-inch laptops it doesn’t feature a dedicated numeric pad.
As opposed to the majority of consumer-grade notebooks with the Intel Core U-series processors, the Dell XPS 15 9570 / XPS9570 features faster Intel Core H-series top-tier chips. The offered 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8300H and i7-8750H are among the fastest laptop processors on the market. But, they also consume more power than the U-series and run hotter. When configuring the laptop, customer can add the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB dedicated video card for a greater graphics processing power than with the default Intel UHD 630 integrated graphics. The notebook can be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM via two RAM slots, and up to 2 Terabytes of solid state drive storage.
As a higher-end laptop, the XPS 15 9570 has some nice additions to the usual notebook feature set – a fingerprint reader (built into the power button) and Thunderbolt 3.0 technology on its USB-C port.
For power autonomy, the XPS 15 9570 offers a 56 WHr battery on configurations without the Nvidia video card and a very capacious 97 WHr battery with the card.
