The Lenovo IdeaPad 130s 14 is an inexpensive Windows laptop model with a 14″ display and entry-level components.
Starting at around only $230, the IdeaPad 130s 14 provides a basic HD screen resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels. The display doesn’t have wide viewing angles of IPS-type screens and it doesn’t provide touch input functionality.
Inside its plastic chassis with a non-backlit keyboard, the IdeaPad 130s 14″ carries a basic but power-efficient Intel Celeron N4000 dual-core processor. It is a good solution only for light day-to-day computing tasks. Performance and usability of the base configuration of the laptop are also limited by unsatisfactory small amounts of RAM and eMMC-type storage space. They have capacities of 2GB and 32GB, respectively. Thankfully, Lenovo has also provided 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC options for a more comfortable computing.
As for the battery, the included unit has a mediocre capacity of 32 WHr. But, given the notebook’s power efficient Celeron CPU, the battery life is decent. It’s “up to 8 hours”, according to Lenovo.
Usual starting price: around 230 USD* as of January 31, 2019.
