The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (3rd Gen) is a high-end 2-in-1 convertible laptop aimed at business users. As the centerpiece of the system, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen features a 14-inch IPS wide viewing angle touch-screen mounted on a pair of 360-degree hinges. Display options include Full HD (1920 X 1080-pixel) or WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, with the latter choice optionally including ultra-bright 500-nit HDR technology. Besides finger touch input, the screen supports active digitizer pen input. The 2-in-1 PC comes with an active pen supporting pressure sensitivity and has a dedicated slot for it. When you rotate the screen for use in tablet or tent / stand modes, the keyboard keys automatically recess and lock for a greater comfort. The keyboard has backlight and a navigation pointer in the center, besides the usual touchpad.
Inside its military-spec-tested chassis with soft touch finish and black and silver color options, the ThinkPad Yoga X1 3rd Gen packs excellent components. Namely, the 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U and Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor options with the Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics on both, 8GB or 16GB of onboard RAM, and up to 1-Terabyte of speedy NVMe solid state drive storage. The laptop includes a 54 WHr battery, which is good for up to 15 hours of power autonomy, according to Lenovo.
Other stand-out features are optional 4G LTE mobile broadband networking support, dual far-field microphones for use with virtual assistants and for web conferencing, optional infra-red camera for face recognition, a fingerprint reader, and a pair of Thunderbolt 3.0 / USB-C ports.
