The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (6th Gen) is a premium-class 14-inch business laptop. This thin and light notebook has a 0.6″ profile and weighs in at only 2.5 pounds. The X1 Carbon 6th Gen features a ruggedized military-spec-tested chassis made of carbon fiber. It has a magnesium alloy roll-cage construction inside, while on the top it has a black soft touch finish (or optionally silver).

There are four display choices on this model. As the basic one, customers can choose a Full HD IPS screen with a 300-nit brightness. You can have touch functionality on top of it as the second choice. Furthermore, the laptop is available with a WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS 300-nit or an HDR Dolby Vision IPS panel with the same resolution but with extreme brightness of 500 nits.

As same as the other ThinkPads, the X1 Carbon has a keyboard with ergonomically shaped keys. The keyboard is backlit. It’s accompanied by a spacious trackpad and the ThinkPad’s recognizable pointing stick in the middle of the keyboard.

Inside, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th Gen packs a serious punch in terms of performance for business and everyday applications. For computing, it uses the 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U or Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor, both with the Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics, up to 16GB of RAM (soldered onto the motherboard), and up to 1-Terabyte of extremely fast NVMe SSD storage. The capacious 57 WHr battery can provide a battery life of up to 15 hours, according to Lenovo.

Other highlights of this feature-packed business laptop are optional 4G LTE mobile broadband connectivity, a pair of far-field microphones for use with virtual assistants and for conferencing, optional IR camera for face recognition-based logins, a fingerprint reader, and a pair of Thunderbolt 3.0 / USB-C ports.
