The Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5120 15.6-inch laptop PC appears to be the best choice for those who want an ultra-cheap full-size notebook. It has the same price as the Acer’s E1-510-2500 while offering a faster processor (~1.750 versus ~1,050 PassMark CPU points). It’s the AMD Quad-Core E2-3800 with AMD Radeon HD 8280 integrated graphics, a chip which simply doesn’t have enough oomph for video and high-resolution photo editing nor 3D gaming, but it is capable of completing your daily web surfing, office document editing, and audio / video playback.

Another advantage of the C55D-A5120 is a built-in DVD burner, which is missing on the Acer. Other features are similar on both laptops. RAM and hard drive sizes are 4GB and 500GB. The screen resolution is 1366×768 pixels and there are stereo speakers, webcam, HDMI, and three USB ports.

    This laptop gives very good value compared to it’s prize. It is not heavy although the screen size 15.6 insch and it does have the optical drive. The battery time is great. And: it has got a good screen because of the TruBite system. It does not glare, has enough brightness and the colors are pretty good. Of course, for this money it will not be much of use if you won’t haeavy gaming or video editing. I always advise people to use deskop pc’s for that anyway. This is really one of the best laptops for it’s price at the moment!
