The Toshiba Satellite L875-S7209 is a desktop replacement laptop, providing the latest L-series design, but older Sandy Bridge 2011 Intel technology for 500 US dollars. Packing the Intel Core i3-2370M 2.4GHz dual core processor and 4GB of RAM, the L875-S7209 is configured to suite computing needs of the average user. The i3 offers better performance than the Intel Pentium CPUs, since it has a higher clock speed and supports HyperThreading for a total of four computing threads simultaneously versus Pentium’s two. Also, Intel QuickSync technology is there to enable faster video editing and encoding.

On the other side, the Sandy Bridge i3 has the weak Intel HD 3000 graphics as the main drawback when compared to the newer 2012 Ivy Bridge counterpart with the HD 4000.

If storage space is of a concern, the Satellite L875-S7209 is a good solution, delivering a 640GB hard disk whereas similar laptops usually have a 500GB unit.

Color of the notebook is “Shining Silver” with glossy gray surfaces on the palmrest and lid. The area around the isle-style keyboard is black. Unfortunately, the keyboard doesn’t have backlight, but it does have a numeric pad for easier input of numbers.

Being a desktop replacement laptop, the L875-S7209 is not designed for carrying around. It weighs 6.3 pounds.

    • Yes, you can. Just get a wireless keyboard with USB adapter. You can also use a Bluetooth keyboard, but you’ll need a separate USB Bluetooth stick, since the laptop has no built-in Bluetooth.
