The CyberpowerPC Gamer Xplorer GX9860 is a 17.3-Inch full blown gaming laptop, with the 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3610QM quad-core processor and the Nvidia GeForce GT 675M video card.
These are not the highest-end components available on the market, but they’re still good enough to distinguish the notebook from the other non-gaming laptops. On gaming notebooks, the video card is the most important component. The GeForce GT 675M with 2GB of video memory has a respective PassMark score of 2,547 points, way better than 1,923 achieved with the GT 670M. Among the notebook video cards available on the market, only the AMD 7970M and Nvidia GTX 680M are faster. The i7-3610QM is an entry quad-core Ivy Bridge processor, but gaming-wise, it certainly isn’t a bottleneck in the system.

Games are displayed on the full HD screen of the Xplorer GX9860, which also has whooping 16GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and a backlight keyboard. Although the hard drive is spacious, it spins at only 5,400rpm which is an normal speed for the standard laptops, but the real gaming mobile rigs usually come with a 7,200rpm HDD. Inclusion of a Blu-ray combo drive is a nice touch and the Xplorer is in other aspects a fully equipped notebook. It has stereo speakers (with THX TruStudio Pro audio technology), a 2MP webcam, USB 3.0, and HDMI out, besides other common features. The extra features are the DisplayPort and Firewire.
According to the manufacturer, the 8-cell battery is good for up to six hours of run time.
The CyberpowerPC Gamer Xplorer GX9860 currently costs around $1,750 and is available through various retailers in the US.
