Samsung has launched a smartphone / tablet hybrid with pen input support – the Samsung Galaxy Note.
Featuring “the world’s first” 5.3-inch Super AMOLED 1280×800 multi-touch screen, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread-based Galaxy Note lets users take notes and make drawings on the go with the included S Pen and S Memo app. Phone calls can be done like on every other Android smartphone.
Interaction with this sleak 0.38 inches thin phone-tablet is very fast and responsive thanks to a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. Internal specifications also include 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, and a Li-on 2,500mAh battery, while for connectivity there are 3G and 4G. For image and video capture, the Note uses a 8MP camera with flash on the back and a 2MP cam on the front.
The device has a built-in FM radio receiver, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB host port.
