The HP Omen 15t 6CM24AV_1 / 7FR35AV_1 provides various screen options. The most basic one is a Full HD resolution screen. Optionally, you can choose even sharper 4K resolution or add a high refresh rate of 144 Hz or 240 Hz on the Full HD variant. The higher refresh rates enable a lot smoother movements on the screen as opposed to the standard 60 Hz refresh rate. In all cases, the display features IPS wide viewing angles and anti-glare coating.
The display and game rendering are handled by one of the following Nvidia GeForce video cards, depending on customers’ choice: the GTX 1650 4GB, GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, RTX 2060 6GB, and RTX 2070 Max-Q 8GB. All of these cards are quite powerful and can handle modern PC games very well. However, some very graphics-intensive games may require you to dial down detail settings to achieve a completely fluid game rendering, primarily on the GTX 1650 and 1660 Ti.
Regarding the main processor, the Omen 15t 6CM24AV_1 / 7FR35AV_1 is equipped with the 9th Generation Intel Core i5-9300H with four computing cores or the six-core Core i7-9750H. These powerful processors are optimized for gaming and heavier computing duties like video editing. The i7-9750H is recommended for those who want ultimate performance.
The notebook has generous RAM options with capacities of 8, 12, 16, and 32 Gigabytes. At least 16GB is recommended if you want full support for all of the latest PC games.
HP offers multiple data storage options, including a hard drive with 1-Terabyte capacity and faster solid state drives of up to 1 Terabyte. Or, combined HDD and SSD devices for a good balance of storage space and speed. On select storage configurations, you can add Intel Optane memory (16 or 32 GB) to boost storage performance.
The 5.3-pound notebook packs a capacious 70 WHr battery. According to HP, the maximal battery life is “up to 10 hours and 45 minutes”. But it is a lot shorter for sure if you use the laptop for gaming off the grid.
The HP Omen 15t 6CM24AV_1 / 7FR35AV_1 provides Thunderbolt 3.0 technology as a stand-out feature.
