The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 and GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q are high-end video cards for laptops, sitting below the top-tier RTX 2080 in the GeForce 20-series lineup. The 2070 and 2070 Max-Q provide excellent game rendering performance, as well as realistic lighting, shadows, and effects thanks to the new ray tracing technology.
The difference between the standard RTX 2070 and RTX 2070 Max-Q is that the latter has lower power consumption, but also somewhat weaker performance.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Benchmarks
As expected, the RTX 2070 series is near the top of the User Benchmark graphics performance chart.
Here are playlists of the best gameplay videos recorded on laptops with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 and 2070 Max-Q.

As a side note, whether you use dual channel RAM instead of single channel (two RAM modules instead of one, like 2 x 8GB instead of 1 x 16GB) can be important for gaming performance. Especially in games that heavily depend on computing done on the main processor, as opposed to the graphics processor. So, make sure you use dual channel RAM if gaming performance is important to you.
Furthermore, graphics performance slightly varies on different laptop models with the same GPU, depending on a cooling solution of each laptop. With everything else being the same, laptops with better cooling usually provide better performance.
