The Lenovo IdeaPad 720s(-14IKB) is a thin-and-light Windows 10 laptop. The sleek 3.4-pound notebook with anodized-aluminum finish features a 14-inch display with sharp Full HD resolution and IPS wide viewing angles. The laptop doesn’t sacrifice performance for portability. It includes the excellent 7th Gen Intel Core processors – the i5-7200U or i7-7500U, generous 8 or 16 Gigabytes of system memory, and fast solid state drive storage with 256GB or 512GB capacity. Furthermore, the Nvidia GeForce 940MX 2GB video card is optionally available besides the basic Intel HD 620 graphics. The included 56 Watt battery is capacious. According to Lenovo, it can provide up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 720s-14IKB has JBL-branded stereo speakers and an HD web camera. The laptop provides a decent networking and connectivity feature set. A stand-out feature in this department is a Thunderbolt 3.0 interface via a USB-C port for rapid data transfers to and from compatible devices. The notebook sports 802.11AC Wi-Fi wireless, Bluetooth, a combo audio jack, two full-size USB 3.0 ports, and the aforementioned compact USB-C / Thunderbolt port. The same USB-C port can be used for hooking up your external display with a help of an adapter cable. As a side note, we have noticed in some stores 720s models nearly identical to the 720s-14IKB, which is sold by the official Lenovo store. These models have the old-school HDMI video output port and an SD memory card reader, which are missing both on the 720s-14IKB.
