The Lenovo Legion Y540 15 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop with mid-range video card options.
The screen features the standard Full HD resolution, IPS wide viewing angles, and a high 144 Hz refresh rate option for more fluid movements on the screen. The display and game rendering are managed by the Nvidia GeForce video card options – the lower-mid-range GeForce GTX 1650 4GB and GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, or the upper-mid-range RTX 2060 6GB which additionally provides ray-tracing technology for advanced visual effects.
For main computing, the Lenovo Legion Y540 uses the 9th Gen Intel Core i5-9300H or Core i7-9750H processor, with four and six computing cores, respectively. The notebook ships with up to 32 Gigabytes of system memory. Data storage relies on either hard drives with 1-Terabyte or 2-Terabyte capacity or on faster solid state drives with up to 1TB capacity. Furthermore, available are combined HDD + SSD configurations for a good balance of storage space, speed, and price.
The Lenovo Legion Y540 15 comes with a 57 WHr battery. It enables a battery life of “up to 5 hours”, according to Lenovo.
