Toshiba Satellite Radius E45DW-C4210 14″ 2-in-1 Laptop with AMD FX / 8GB / 750GB
The Toshiba Satellite Radius E45DW-C4210 is a convertible Windows 10 14-inch notebook with a 360-degree flip hinge that enables the device to transform to a tablet or other usage modes such as multimedia stand.
Despite having an attractive looking aluminum chassis with thin 0.8″ profile and keyboard backlight, the 4.5-pound E45DW-C4210 isn’t entirely a premium-class machine. First of all, the touch display has the mediocre 1366-by-768 HD resolution instead of Full HD or higher. In addition, IPS technology for wide viewing angles is missing. Also, data storage relies on a spacious but slow 5,400rpm hard drive with 750GB capacity. On the positive side, the model sports AMD’s fastest laptop processor, the FX series 8800P, and big system memory size of 8GB to support multitasking. The FX-8800P isn’t necessarily very fast chip in comparison to Intel’s counterparts. Especially because of the fact that PC manufacturers are allowed to downgrade its power requirements to meet thermal limitations of laptop designs, which results in lower overall performance. Still, the FX-8800P can easily handle all your daily computing tasks and additionally has good Radeon R7 series GPU with good performance by integrated graphics standards.

Just like its popular Intel-based sibling – the E45W-C4200X, the E45DW-C4210 comes with a medium-size 45 Whr battery (no info on battery life), a pair of Harman/Kardon stereo speakers, a 720p web camera, 802.11AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces, HDMI video output, three USB ports, a multi-in-1 media card reader, and a combo audio port.

This has over all been a wonderful laptop and has fullfilled all of my necessities to my likings. It has also been quite reliable over all with drops and dogs peeing on it twice while I was sleeping once and had not expected that to happen at all! Anyway, everything held up again all those things except for the hard drive twice and the usb 2.0 port. I’ve had to change the hard drive out twice, however have been lucky to have eventually regained use of one of them as an external drive now, so durability seems pretty grand. I love using this in theatre view also when I have a wireless mouse and keyboard too. Drawing on the screen with friends online has also been a one up with various games, such as some that can be found on the Jackbox Tv website of games. The mousepad is annoying, but many are on laptops these days. I prefer an actual mouse over a pad anyway. Other than that, I’ve been told that Toshiba is out of making laptops and such currently, so that’s a bit annoying. I’ve had the laptop since January of 2016 though and it’s still truckin’ right along. 🙂
