HP Envy 13-d010nr 13.3-Inch Laptop (Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD)
The HP Envy 13-d010nr is a luxury 13.3-inch thin-and-light laptop with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. The main selling points of the Envy 13-d010nr are its very sharp QHD+ 3200×1800 display with IPS wide viewing angles, attractive design with thickness of its all-metal body of just 0.5″, light weight of 2.8 pounds, keyboard backlight, and a long estimated battery life of “up to 7.5 hours”.
The heart of the system is the latest 6th Generation Intel Core i5-6200U dual-core processor, which is a mid-range chip. For more info about it, you can read this review. In short, it offers great performance for the daily tasks under included Windows 10 Home, decent speed when it comes to some more demanding tasks like photography or video editing, and basic gaming capabilities. 8GB of system memory is a quite decent size for today’s standards. This means you’ll be able to run many browser tabs and programs simultaneously without RAM-related slowdowns. The 128GB SSD provides a relatively small capacity for storing files, but it’s a much faster kind of storage than the old-school mechanical hard drives. A DVD drive is missing on the Envy 13 series.
The notebook has stereo speakers enhanced by Bang & Olufsen’s technology, a 720p web camera, 802.11AC wireless, BLuetooth, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI video output, a combo audio port, and a multi-format media card reader.
The HP Envy 13-d010nr isn’t necessarily an ultimate modern ultraportable, primarily due to lack of touchscreen support. However, it’s still an appealing buying choice for the traditional keyboard / trackpad laptop users, considering its price of around $800 and all the great features included.
