Intel Core i7-4710HQ High-Performance Processor

The Intel Core i7-4710HQ is a high-performance notebook processor. It features four cores and has a high maximal clock speed of 3.5GHz. These specs make the i7-4710HQ one of the fastest mobile CPUs. It is used in numerous gaming, mobile workstation, and other high-end laptops.
As a downside, the i7-4710HQ has a very high power consumption and runs pretty much hot by notebooks’ standards. It has a maximal thermal design power of 47 Watts. For comparison, the standard laptop use U-series Intel Core chips consume 15W, while the power-efficient Core M series is rated at just 4.5W, while providing excellent computing potential for the usual daily tasks. The quad-core i7 however stands out in high CPU load scenarios, such as intensive games, 1080p and 4K video editing, and high-res photography manipulation.
The Intel Core i7-4710HQ incorporates the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics, which is good only for low-end gaming. But, that isn’t of a great importance, since the i7-4710HQ is available notebooks is usually paired with a dedicated video card.
Very similar to the 4710HQ is the i7-4720HQ with 100MHz higher clock speed, but no meaningful performance difference.
