The Asus Zenbook UX305UA is a thin-and-light 13.3-inch laptop with a pragmatic-looking yet elegant and sleek “Titanium Gold” aluminum chassis. Inside the available UX305U-AS51 model are the 6th Generation Intel Core i5 dual-core processor, 8GB of system memory, and 256GB of solid state drive storage with Windows 10 Home pre-installed on it.

The 750-dollar Asus Zenbook UX305UA-AS51 doesn’t have touchscreen support, so it’s a traditional keyboard-and-trackpad-centric laptop. On the positive side, its well-specced 13.3″ Full HD 1920×1080-pixel IPS wide viewing angle display has anti-reflective finish, unlike the most of touch and non-touch notebooks.

Internal components of this 2.9-pound 0.6″ thin model indicate the machine is a mid-range model. The 6th Gen Intel Core i5-6200U we reviewed recently is a solid performer for the vast majority of PC users. It can effortlessly handle your daily computing chores and is a decent solution when it comes to some more advanced tasks such as video editing or photography editing. The 6th Gen i5 incorporates the entry-level Intel HD 520 integrated graphics, supporting some light gaming as described in this review. The 8GB RAM size ensures you won’t be having issues with slowdowns when you run multiple browser tabs and apps simultaneously. The included 256GB SSD doesn’t offer insanely huge capacity for storing your files and installed programs, but it’s a very fast kind of laptop-use storage. Therefore, you’ll be able to boot up the system and load programs very quickly thanks to it.

The rest of the specs sheet of the Asus Zenbook UX305UA-AS51 is quite admirable. An exception is keyboard backlight, which is missing on this model. But, stereo speakers and a 720p web camera are present as common laptop features, as well as 802.11AC wireless connection. Furthermore, the notebook includes two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI video output, a combo headphones / microphone audio jack, multi-format media card reader, and Bluetooth interface.

Besides the UX305UA-AS51, the Zenbook UX305UA series also include configurations with very high resolution 3200×1800 QHD+ display, somewhat faster 6th Gen i7-6500U chip, and more spacious 512GB SSD. Lower-end configurations include those with the lower-mid-range i3 CPU and smaller RAM and SSD capacities or 4GB and 128GB, respectively. An alternative chassis color to “Titanium Gold” is black, retaining the same aluminum material. However, these options are not available in the US at the time of this writing.
