Dell Latitude 14 3000 3440 (Customizable)

The Dell Latitude 14 3000 3440 14-inch laptop is designed primarily for budget-conscious small business users. It lacks some security features found on the enterprise class laptops such as fingerprint and SmartCard reader, but there are Dell Data Protection and Encryption services for keeping users’ files secure, which is enough for the majority of small businesses. The laptop is built upon Intel’s computing technology. You can purchase the Dell Latitude 14 3000 3440 with the Core i3 and i5 “Haswell”, but the higher-end i7 option is lacking. However, both the i3 and i5 are quite good for all typical SMB tasks. RAM amount ranges between 2GB and 8GB, depending on customers choice. Hard drive storage goes up to 1 Terabyte and its supplemented by a DVD burner. Solid state drive options are missing on this model.

The display optionally provides touch input. It has a resolution of either 1366×768 or 1600×900 pixels and is manged by the Intel HD 4400 graphics integrated in the included processors.

This Latitude model has Wi-Fi, LAN, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, webcam, and a media card reader, just like the vast majority of laptops on the market. It has three USB ports, but it’s one of the rare laptops without HDMI video output on it. Instead, the machine sports only the old-school VGA video out. Another thing that is lacking is a dedicated numeric pad found, which can be a big drawback for tasks requiring frequent number typing, but that’s expected for a 14″ notebook. If you want the numeber pad, you can select the 15-inch variant of the same notebook.

The exterior of the Dell 14 4000 3440 is dominated by brushed aluminum finish in dark gray color. The notebook is either 0.8 or 1.1 inch thick, depending on the battery which can have either 4 or 6 cells. The weight starts at 4.3 pounds.

Pro versions of Windows 7 and 8 are optionally available on this laptop.
