The HP 15-bs091ms is one of the flagship Black Friday 2017 laptop deals on Microsoft Store. With a Black Friday price of $299, the HP 15-bs091ms is offers a great bang for the buck. That’s because it features very decent specs like touchscreen functionality, Intel’s mid-range Core i3-7100U processor, and very decent system memory and hard drive sizes of 8 Gigabytes and 1 Terabyte, respectively. Nevertheless, the 15-bs091ms, as same as the whole HP 15 series it belongs to, is a budget laptop with plastic chassis, no sharp Full HD display resolution nor IPS wide viewing angles, and no keyboard backlight. The laptop features the usual basic 1366-by-768 HD resolution and has a built-in DVD writer drive.

On the other hand, for only $299 you get a fully operational touch-screen laptop, which can easily handle the daily computing tasks of the average user – web browsing, work in Office applications, media playback and similar. You can also use it for more demanding stuff like photo and video editing, but for these tasks laptops with the Intel Core i5 and i7 series (especially quad-core ones) are noticeably better solutions. Microsoft Store lists a battery life of up to 8 hours for the HP 15-bs091ms model. Since the laptop has a relatively small-capacity 31 WHr battery, this estimation should be taken with a grain of salt. Getting 8 hours out of a 31 WHr battery on a 15.6″ laptop is possible only with very minimal processing load and with heavily reduced screen brightness.
