User Reviews and Q&A

Below you can read and submit user reviews, questions, and answers about the HP Pavilion 15-cw1068wm. Thank you for your contribution.

  1. worst laptop I`ve ever owned

    Paul

I`ve been using this laptop for about a year. I faced 2 major issues that none at HP can resolve.
    1. The fan constantly makes high pitch noise, the longer I use the laptop, more I get the headache. I even had the technician replaced the damn fan, however, the noise persists.
    2. Battery life – It hardly lasts 2 hours of slight daily usage which doesn`t meet its spec on paper

  2. Question

    Bill

Does this have a metal housing/casing or plastic?

  3. Question

    Wright

    Is the ram duel channel?

    • vincent

The laptop seems pretty good. but I’ve been having a problem with the wireless network . My PC frequently disconnects from the network when I’m working with it. At times I would even have to restart the system before I can reconnect it to the network.

  4. thomas cappelli

How to open computer to add ram?

  5. Sarah Adams

How is the width 14.2″ and the screen is 15.6″? I’m looking to buy a hard case for this computer but I don’t have it here to measure myself and need an accurate measurement.

    • Dan Z

15.6 inches is length of the screen diagonal, which is always longer than notebook’s width. The width of the laptop is 14.2 inches.

    • John Wilkins

The 15.6 is measured diagonally from top left to bottom right.

    • Mark

I am looking to purchase a hard case for mine as well, but with this being a “Walmart” proprietary model number, it doesn’t match up with much. Does anyone know what comparable model number would be the same as this Walmart model?

    • Dan

Hi, you can try to find the case for the HP Pavilion 15-cw1…..? The rest of the model name is related to internal components, not dimensions and chassis design. Also the current HP Store’s HP Pavilion 15z and 15t released in 2019 have the same chassis with the same dimensions. In addition, the Pavilion 15-cw0 looks identical to the cw1, but I don’t know if the dimensions match 100%.

I can also say that I’m pretty much sure all HP Pavilion 15.6″ models released in 2019 match the design and dimensions of the 15-cw1068wm. The only exepction are the Pavilion Gaming models.
