Dell Releases Alienware M17X Gaming Laptop with Dual GTX 280
Dell launched today the Alienware M17X “All Powerful”, a 17-inch gaming laptop PC with Nvidia’s graphics, Intel CPU technology, and a new design.
The M17X features up to dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M 1GB video cards in SLI mode and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, upgradeable to quad-core Core 2 Quad / Extreme. Other components include up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space or up to 512GB of solid state drive storage, a slot-load DVD burner or Blu-ray optical disc, and an additional integrated GPU that can be used to save battery when dedicated graphics is not needed.
MSI GT725 17″ Gaming Laptop Overview
The MSI GT725 is a recently launched 17-inch gaming laptop based on Intel’s CPU and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 graphics.
In the US, there are three models available - the MSI GT725-074US with the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor, the GT725-075US with the Core 2 Duo P9500 at 2.53GHz, and the 2GHz Core 2 Quad Q9000-based GT725-212US. Besides the Mobility Radeon HD 4850 dedicated video card with 512MB of DDR3 VRAM, all models include 4GB of DDR2 system memory, a 320GB hard drive, and Drive Engine Technology for CPU overclocking when on AC power.
MSI GX403 14.1″ Gaming Laptop Announced
MSI has uveiled the GX403 14.1-inch gaming laptop, based on Intel’s Centrino 2 processor technology and NVIDIA GeForce graphics.
Along with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the Geforce GT 130M 256MB dedicated video card, the MSI GX403 includes up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or a Blu-ray optical drive.
Gateway Announces P-7808u FX Quad Core Laptop
Gateway today announced the P-7808u FX Edition notebook PC, featuring a 17-inch display, a quad core processor, and a gaming video card.
Along with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2GHz (6MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB) CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 1GB graphics, the entertainment-oriented Gateway P-7808u FX includes 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. The widescreen display has a resolution of 1440×900 pixels.
ASUS G71Gx Gaming Laptop with GeForce GTX 260 Announced
Asustek has announced the ASUS G71Gx gaming laptop with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M, the “world’s fastest notebook graphics processor”.
The 17-inch G71Gx also has three SO-DIMM slots for up to 12GB of DDR2 800MHz memory, up to 1TB of storage space using two 500GB hard drives, Blu-ray support, and four built-in Altec Lansing speakers. The display resolution is 1920×1200.
ASUS W90Vp-X1 Available; Features Radeon HD 4870 X2, 18.4″ Display
Asustek’s new entertainment laptop PC - the 18.4-inch ASUS W90 - is now available in the United States.
The first offered model is the ASUS W90Vp-X1. Along with the 1920 x 1200 widescreen display, the desktop replacement notebook features the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor at 2.80GHz, the high-end ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 1GB dual video card for gaming, three SO-DIMM slots populated with 6GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB 7,200rpm hard drive, and a DVD burner. The W90 is based on the Intel X38 chipset, designed for use in desktop PCs.
Eurocom to Launch World’s First Intel Core i7-Based Laptop
Canadian PC retailer Eurocom is planning to launch the D900F Phantom i7, the “world’s first” laptop with Intel’s Core i7 processor.
Along with the Core i7 920, 940 and 965 quad core CPUs, designed for desktop PCs, the 17-inch workstation/gaming notebook will feature the Intel X58 chipset, Nvidia’s GeForce G280, 9800GTX, or Quadro FX3700 graphics solution with 1GB of video memory, up to 1.5TB of storage, and up to 8GB of DDR3 system memory. There are also optional Blu-ray optical drive and TV tuner.
ASUS W90 High-End Entertainment Notebook Unveiled
Asustek showcases a new high-end entertainment notebook - the ASUS W90 - at the ongoing 2009 CES Show in Las Vegas.
The W90 is a desktop replacement laptop with a 18.4- or 17-inch display, depending on model, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 or HD 3850 X2 dual graphics, or a single NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GS GPU, and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The system is based on the Intel X38 chipset and has three SO-DIMM slots for up to 6GB of DDR2 memory. Asustek’s high performance notebook is additionally equipped with the Turbo Gear function, which allows users to overclock the machine by “up to 25%”.
MSI GX630-028US - Gaming Laptop for $800
MSI has announced the GX630-028US 15.4-inch gaming notebook model that will be selling for $799.99.
The MSI GX630-028US features an AMD dual-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT video card, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 250GB hard drive, as well as a 2-megapixel web camera, HDMI output, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Its display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
Alienware M17 Gaming Laptop Launched
Alienware launched yesterday the M17 gaming notebook, featuring a 17-inch display, ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology, and Intel’s quad core processor.
The Alienware M17 notebook can be configured with dual ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 512MB graphics cards, the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 CPU, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1 terabyte of storage using dual 500GB hard drives, a Blu-Ray reader, 1920×1080 display, and optional HDTV tuner.
Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 Quad Core Gaming Laptop Launched
Toshiba has launched the Qosmio X305-Q708 17-inch gaming laptop, featuring Intel’s quad-core processor and two NVIDIA video cards.
Along with the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 CPU at 2.53GHz and dual NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 512MB SLI GPUs, the X305-Q708 includes 4GB of DDR3 system memory, a 128GB solid state drive and a 320GB 7200rpm hard drive, and a DVD burner. The display has a resolution of 1440×900 pixels.
MSI Launches New Gaming Laptops - GX400, GX630, GT735
MSI has unveiled three new gaming notebooks - the GX400, GX630, and GT735.
The 14.1-inch GX400 and 15.4-inch GX630 are based on Intel’s Centrino 2 mobile platform and feature Core 2 Duo processors and the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT video cards. On the other side, the 17-inch GT735 is powered by AMD “Puma” technology, Turion X2 Ultra CPUs, and the ATi Mobility Radeon HD3850 dedicated graphics card.
Asus G50V, G71V Gaming Laptops Announced
Asustek has officially released two new gaming laptops - the Asus G50V and G71V, featuring Intel Centrino 2 technology and the Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT graphics.
The Asus G50V comes with a 15.4-inch or 15.6-inch display. The latter has a 16:9 aspect ratio, suitable for watching movies. This laptop comes with the Core 2 Duo processor and up to 640GB of hard drive space using two 320GB HDDs.
Gateway P-7811FX Gaming Notebook Launched
Gateway has launched the P-7811FX 17-inch gaming notebook PC, the latest in its P-Series FX Edition line.
The Gateway P-7811FX, the company’s first laptop with the Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform, comes with the Core 2 Duo P8400 processor at 2.26GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 512MB dedicated video card, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 200GB hard drive at 7200rpm, and a DVD burner. Its widescreen display has a resolution of 1920-by-1200 pixels.
Asus G50Vm Gaming Laptop Available in the US
The Asus G50Vm gaming laptop is now available in the United States.
A model offered at Best Buy - the G50Vm-X1 - has a 15.6-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels. The notebook is based on Intel’s Centrino technology and comes with the Core 2 Duo T5750 CPU at 2GHz, the latest Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT 512MB dedicated video card, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 200GB hard drive, and DVD burner.
