The Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q860, X505-Q870 and X505-Q880 are the new X505 18.4-inch gaming laptop models with the Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors and the latest NVIDIA’s graphics.

Toshiba currently offers three Qosmio X505 models: the Intel Core i5-430M powered X505-Q860, and the Intel Core i7-720QM based X505-Q870 and X505-Q880. All models feature the NVIDIA GeForce GTS360M 1GB GDDR5 gaming-class video card. The X505-Q860 and X505-Q870 come with 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, and a display resolution of 1680×945 pixels, whereas the X505-Q880 ships with 6GB or RAM, a 64GB solid state drive plus a 500GB HDD, and a full HD 1920×1080 display.

Dell has updated the Alienware M15x and M17x gaming laptops, which now both include Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processors.

The 15.6-inch M15x and 17-inch M17x are configurable with the dual core i5-520M, i5-540M and i7-620M CPUs, as well with the quad core i7-720QM, i7-820QM and i7-920XM chips. The quad core processors had been already available on the Alienware M15x, while the M17x is additionally offered with the older Core 2 Duo CPUs.

Asustek showcases new laptop models at the ongoing 2010 CES Show: the affordable mainstream Asus K series, entertainment-oriented Asus N series, the U Series Bamboo Collection, and a G series gaming laptop.

The notebooks include the latest Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 dual-core and i7 quad-core processors, the latest ATI and NVIDIA dedicated video cards in select models, Windows 7 OS, and optional support for the new USB 3.0 standard, “up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0″.

Hewlett-Pacakrd’s new high-performance entertainment notebook – the Intel Core i7-based 15.6″ HP Envy 15 – is now available.

Besides the Intel Core i7 i7-720QM 1.6GHz or i7-820QM 1.73GHz quad-core mobile CPU, the 1.04-inch thin Envy 15 features the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 1GB gaming-class video card, four memory slots for up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 7,200rpm hard drive, and a 6-cell battery with an optional 9-cell extended unit. The laptop doesn’t include a built-in optical drive. Its 15.6″ full HD 1920×1080 display uses LED backlight.

Micro-Star Int’l announced today the Core i7-based MSI GT640 15.4-inch laptop for gamers.

Along with a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, the GT640 features the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M 1GB dedicated video card, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive storage, and a built-in DVD burner or Blu-ray drive. There’s no info on display resolution.

Advertised as “the world’s most powerful 15.6″ gaming notebook”, the Intel “Callpela”-based system includes the Intel Core i7-720QM, i7-820QM, or i7-920XM CPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 1,333MHz memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive.

Toshiba announced today the Qosmio X500, the company’s first Core i7-based laptop.

The 18.4-inch notebook for HD multimedia and gaming also includes the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M 1GB dedicated video card, DDR3 memory, dual hard drive configurations, a Blu-ray optical drive, Dolby Home Theater audio, a multi-touch trackpad, and Windows 7 operating system.
