Nextbook NXW10QC32G Cheap 10.1″ Windows Tablet with Keyboard
Update: There’s a newer version available, the Nextbook Flexx NXW101QC232.
The Nextbook NXW10QC32G by a company called E Fun is a low-cost 10.1 Windows 8.1-based tablet which comes with a detachable keyboard. The Nextbook NXW10QC32G delivers entry-level features and performance. The display has 1280-by-800 resolution, a common one for a budget Windows tablet. Thankfully, IPS display technology on it provides wide viewing angles.
The weakest point of the tablet is its small RAM memory size of only 1GB. Therefore, multitasking potential is limited to only a handful of apps or web browser tabs opened at the same time. The included 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core Z3735G processor is also a low-end component, but it can handle the simple daily tasks, like web browsing, text and low-res image editing, and multimedia playback. For data storage, the device uses a smallish 32GB Flash memory-based drive. Storage can be expanded with additional 64GB via the built-in microSD card slot.
As an extra feature in comparison to many other cheap Windows tablets, the Nextbook NXW10QC32G provides video output via a Micro HDMI port. Other notable features are dual cameras – a 2MP shooter on the back and 0.3MP on the front side, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless interfaces, and a 6000 mAh battery (no info on battery life).
Both the tablet lid and keyboard dock are done up in black matte plastics. Except the keyboard and trackpad, the dock doesn’t provide any additional feature.
Unfortunately, info on dimensions and weight are not available at the time of this writing.
Regarding software, it’s important to note the device comes with a free 1-year subscription for Office 365 Personal suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access apps.

You need to do a hard reset on it and that should fix the problem. Hold down the volume up and the power button for about 10-15 seconds. My husband and I both have one of these but his resets differently tgen mine. If this doesn’t work, go to YouTube n type in Nextbook your model number and hard reset. It will bring up a video showing you how to do it.

Owned for 6 months with light use. Battery life avg. is 100 mins and the power meter gives false readings (90% when it shuts down from dead battery) . I also have to press the windows button to get it to power up. In theory, this should be a great unit, but Nextbook failed on the execution. I’ve had to do a reset recently and will see if that irons out some flaws.

I bought the flex 10 from Walmart on Sept 16th 15 for $178.00 plus tax. The top and keyboard are loose on the connection and you can hear it beep when it looses connections, making the keyboard unstable and the mouse jump around. I bought it to use on a simple engine management program that requires windows. It kept freezing up and we thought it was the management software and tried everything. Took about 6 weeks to realize why it would not work. The attachment between the notebook and the keyboard make a poor connection making it freeze up regularly. It is not a bad unit, it is a bad design. I returned the notebook to the store I bought it from on 11/02/15 and I was informed I only had 15 days to return a defective unit. Seems like pretty poor service for a unit that was defective the day I bought it. Try to get support from the manufacture and you get a good laugh. On their website they state one year return,, but only if you bought it directly from them, and they suggest taking it back where you bought it!! The prefect circle of Walmart service.
I could have ordered online cheaper, but I bought from Walmart thinking I had some support,, WRONG, I will never buy another piece of electronics from Walmart.
It may have more than one flaw, but the connection makes two USB inputs on the keyboard useless.
This thing is a total piece of junk. DO NOT BUT THIS PRODUCT

I’ve used the Nxtbook 10.1 off and on for about 5 months. There are a couple of quirks that I’ve uncovered: 1. It won’t fully charge unless turned off and 2. sometimes the on button doesn’t work but I can turn it on for 2 or 3 seconds then (oddly) push the ‘windows’ button (with the 4 dots). Otherwise it is a nice unit. Regarding the unresolved problems that a number of people have been having; with no response from Nextbook, I would send them a demand letter to their listed address then go for an easily done judgement against them in small claims court. Eventually they will 1. have to pay the judgement and 2. abandon their ‘ship it and forget it’ unwritten policy.

I bought one of these for my 13y.o. daughter at Christmas time. It works great for the little things that she wants to do with it (read books, surf the internet, watch netflix…).
We did return the first one and exchange it for another when, after a short period of time, it would not turn on, even when fully charged.
The second one, the VERY SMALL charging pin broke and we have been unable to find a replacement for it. We have tried many different stores looking for a replacement and emailed the company without any response.
Any suggestions?

I got one from Amazon.

You can get the chargers on amazon. Or just Google: Nextbook, your model number and charger. It will bring up a variety of options, but I just found one for mine online for $7.99 at walmart when I googled it. Hope this helps.

Don’t buy this thing. I’ve tried all the suggestions available on the internet and it still won’t turn on. I’ve only had it for 4 months-2 months it hasn’t worked at all. It worked fine until it went dead and I tried to charge it. Since then I’ve contacted Nextbook and they still haven’t called me back. Now I just have junk!

I had same problem. Would not turn on. It was stuck in sleep mode. You have to remove back cover. Un plug the power supply leading from batteries. Its a small white plug located under the yellow clear tape. Unplug for several minutes then plug back in and install cover. Hopefully this will work. If so go into your settings and change sleep options.

Amazon has power adaptors for the 32G and usb-to-microusb adaptors. I wouldn’t trust Ebay.

I bought two of these (NXW10QC32G) for my 6- and 8-year old sons for Christmas. When they work, they work fine. Powerful enough to do most things including playing Minecraft online, writing in MS Word, and watching Netflix (their primary uses).
Two major downsides:
1 – the cameras are awful resolution. A 0.3MP camera on the front makes it almost unusable, and 2MP isn’t much better on the back.
2 – Both have had trouble when they run out of battery power. Turning them back on is difficult. Currently one of them will not power back on even though the battery is fully charged – I just can’t get the thing to turn on. You can press the power button and expect something to happen but it doesn’t. Then, a few minutes later, it works fine.
Beware – you get what you pay for…if I can get this one fixed and get past this odd power problem I’d give this 4 stars.

Same problem. This thing is hard to get to charge and will not turn on. Have read other reviews stating they had to wait a week before it would turn on.
The concept of the tablets are great but this one must just be too cheap. I have only owned it for 2 months. Walmart will not exchange or refund.
I will be contacting Nextbook tomorrow.
Kirsten –
When you have this problem do a hard reset. It’s hard on them if you keep them on all the time too. So every now and then do a hard reset. On mine you hold down the volume button and the power button for 10-15 seconds, then it will power off. Wait at least 3-5 minutes before turning it back on to give it time to cool down before start up.

Can I buy an adapter so I transfer my photos from my Motorola razor m to my next book? If so what do I buy?
Notify me of replies Unwatch this thread
Danijel Z –
You’ll need an OTG adapter cable. It has a micro USB connector on one end and it goes into the tablet. The second end has a port in which you can plug in the standard USB/micro USB cable which comes standard with modern smartphones, including the Razr.
Bluetooth is another way, but with slower data transfer speeds.
Danijel Z –
@Erica: It has one micro USB port. You’ll maybe need a micro USB to full-size USB cable or an OTG adapter cable to connect the tablet to other devices.

Does anyone know whether or not the Ram can be upgraded?
Notify me of replies Unwatch this thread
John Holmes –
i would like to know the same thing.nthe divice manager shows 1 of 2 slots used, therefore it is my belief it can be upgraded. however we must find a sodimm 12800 chip of 1 gb. please reply
Danijel Z –
I don’t know what the NextBook 10.1 looks like inside, but tablets usually have RAM memory soldered on the motherboard and therefore it isn’t upgradeable. Even if it is, the Atom Z3735G CPU used in this model supports only 1GB RAM, according to Intel.

I just purchased this little machine yesterday–so far I will say this…It packs a LOT of features for the price. That said, the biggest tradeoff is speed. With only 1 gig of RAM and a relatively slow (albeit quad core) Intel Atom processor, it is perfectly acceptable for basic daily tasks. The screen is reasonably acceptable but if you are looking for a machine fast enough for heavy graphics or video, look to a higher end machine. The unit has 32 gigs of onboard storage, expandable with a Micro SD card. 24 gigs are available to the OS, and about 18 gigs are available to the user after accounting for the OS and pre-installed software.
I do like the fact that the keyboard dock was included. I have noticed a bit of “lag” at times using the keyboard–but that may be due to lag in the browser application. I have not tried it with a local word processing application yet. One VERY nice (somewhat undocumented) feature is the micro USB port. You cannot use it to charge the unit, but you CAN use it with an adaptor to attach standard USB 2.0 peripherals.
If you want a few slight bumps in specifications and can live without the included keyboard dock, check out the Winbook TW100 sold through Micro Center. The TW100 adds a full sized USB 3.0 port and another gig of RAM. There is a keyboard dock available for the TW100 but it must be purchased separately.

I was looking at the Asus model that was very similar which was double the price of this unit, so I decided to give it a try. I have had it for about a month now and with no complaints. The screen is great and I use it as a laptop instead of a tablet. Not many tablets have Microsoft products which in my opinion is an absolute must especially if your college is online or it just makes writing papers so much easier. The only draw back on what should be available for this 2 in 1 tablet is a case.
