Dell Announces Vostro 1014, 1088, 1015 Laptops
Dell has announced the 14-inch Vostro 1014 and 1088 and the 15.6″ 1015, the new affordable laptops for business users.
The notebooks include LED backlight displays, Intel’s Core 2 processors, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB of hard drive space, optional web cameras, an “improved battery life”, and various color options. The Vostro 1014 and 1015 feature the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, whereas the Vostro 1088 sports the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512MB GPU.
Dell Vostro 1220 12.1″ Ultraportable Launched
Dell has launched the Vostro 1220 12.1-inch ultraportable laptop, aimed at budget-minded business users.
Starting at 3.36 pounds, the Dell Vostro 1220 features the Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel’s GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 8GB of DDR2 system memory, up to 500GB of hard drive or up to 128GB of solid state drive storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray Combo drive.
Dell Vostro A90 Business Netbook Now in US
Dell’s Vostro A90, an 8.9-inch netbook for business users, is now available in the US.
The 2.4-pound Vostro A90 is a rebadged Inspiron Mini 9 and features the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, up to 16GB of solid state drive storage space, Intel’ 945GSE chipset with the GMA 950 integrated graphics, a 4-cell battery, and an optional 0.3MP web camera. The display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

Dell has unveiled recently the Vostro 1720, a low cost 17-inch business laptop.
The Dell Vostro 1720 features the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated or the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 512MB dedicated graphics, up to 8GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of HDD storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-Ray drive.

Dell Launches Vostro 1320, 1520, 1720 Laptops
Dell announced today its redesigned Vostro laptop lineup which now includes the 13.3-inch Vostro 1320, the 15.4″ 1520, and the 17″ 1720.
The low-cost business notebooks are based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors and support up to 8GB of DDR2 memory. Graphics options include the integrated GMA X4500MHD and the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 256MB. The new Vosto notebooks ship with up to 250GB of hard drive space or a 128GB solid state drive, and with a slot-load DVD burner or Blu-Ray combo drive.
Dell Vostro A860 Laptop Launched in the US, Starts at $379
Dell has launched in the United States the Vostro A860, an affordable 15.6-inch laptop that was previously aimed only at emerging markets.
Starting at $379 after instant savings, the Dell Vostro A860 features Intel’s Celeron or Pentium Dual Core processor, GM965 chipset with GMA X3100+ integrated graphics, 1GB or 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 120GB or 160GB hard drive, and a Combo optical drive or DVD burner, all depending on model. The anti-glare type display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
Dell Vostro 2510 Now Available
Dell now offers the new Vostro 2510 business laptop, featuring a 15.4-inch display and Intel’s Centrino “Santa Rosa Refresh” technology.
According to the product page, the Dell Vostro 2510 comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 256MB graphics card, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and a slot-load DVD burner or Blu-Ray burner.
Dell Releases BIOS Updates to Prevent Nvidia GPU Issues
Dell has released BIOS updates for select notebooks to help reduce the likelihood of recently revealed Nvidia graphics card issues.
The affected Nvidia GPUs are experiencing higher than expected failure rates causing video problems such as no video, multiple images on the screen, and random characters or lines on the display.
Dell Vostro 1710 Launched
The Dell Vostro 1710 desktop replacement notebook is now available for purchase.
The newly designed 17-inch business-class laptop features an Intel Core 2 Duo or Celeron processor, up to 4GB of system memory, up to 640GB of storage using two 320GB hard drives, and a slot-load DVD burner or Combo optical drive. The Dell Vostro 1710 comes with the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics or Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 256MB GPU. Display options include 1440×900 anti-glare and 1920×1200 glossy screens.

Dell launched yesterday the Vostro 1310, the company’s first 13.3-inch notebook in their business-class lineup. The laptop starts at $749.

Regarding graphics, the 1310 provides Intel GMA X3100 and Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS 128MB choices.
Dell Vostro 1510 Overview
Dell has unveiled yesterday the Vostro 1510 15.4-inch affordable business-class notebook, featuring new chassis design, Intel’s Centrino processor technology, and a starting price of $599.
The Dell Vostro 1510 includes Intel Celeron or some of 65nm and 45nm Core 2 Duo CPU models, up to 4GB of main memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and a slot-load optical drive. Regarding graphics, the 1510 provides Intel GMA X3100 and Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS 256MB choices. This GPU manages the 15.4″ anti-glare or glossy display with a resolution of 1280-by-800 or 1440-by-900 pixels, depending on customer’s choice.
Dell Vostro 1310, 1510 Laptops Now Available in the U.S.
Dell’s newly designed Vostro 1310 and 1510 business laptops for budget-minded customers are now available in the United States.
The 1310 is the first 13.3-inch model in the Dell Vostro series. The ultraportable weighs 4.6 pounds and starts at $749, while the 1510 weighs 5.7 pounds and has a starting price of $599. The both notebooks come with up to Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of system memory, a slot-load optical drive, as well as with Windows XP or Windows Vista preinstalled.
Dell Laptops to Feature Qualcomm’s Gobi Mobile Broadband Solution
Dell’s next-generation laptops, available later this year, will support a single-card EV-DO and HSPA 3G network connections through Qualcomm’s Gobi solution, the PC maker announced yesterday.
Dell explains that, using the Qualcomm Gobi, U.S.-based travelers who connect their laptops via EV-DO carrier networks (like Verizon Wireless or Sprint), will be also able to connect via HSPA carrier networks (like European Vodafone). Today customers who wish to connect to both types of networks must use two different mobile broadband cards.
