The Cruz T301 has a display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and resolution of 800×600 pixels, whereas the previous T103 model has 16:9 800×480 screen. Both tablets use capacitive touch technology, 2.0 Android version, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and a user replaceable Li-Ion battery that provides “up to 10+ hours of life” or “24+ standby”.
The T301 comes with 256MB of RAM, whereas the old Cruze tablet has 512MB. (This is corrected info. We’ve previously said the T301 has 512MB, which is wrong.)
Regarding software, the newer model includes Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader, whereas the previous Cruz has Borders e-book app. The tablets have access to the Cruz apps market.
The Velocity Micro T301 Cruz comes with 4GB of internal storage, expandable via both USB and SD card slots. A 4 GB SD card is included with the device, according to the product page.
The tablet is priced at $249.99 at Amazon.
