Vigor Unveils Five New Notebook Models

Vigor AtlantisVigor Gaming Computer has announced a new series of notebook PCs, including 20-inch and 17-inch gaming laptops, as well as high-performance 15.4-inch mainstream models. The Atlantis PRO system has the largest display in the new notebook line. The Atlantis model features a 17-inch 1920×1200 display and a Intel Core 2 Duo or the Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor. These CPUs are primarily designed for use in desktop computers. As same as the Atlantis PRO, this laptop provides single or dual GeForce Go 7950 GTX options. It is configurable with up to three hard drives providing up to 750GB capacity. The Atlantis supports RAID 0, 1, and 5 HDD modes, and has a base MSRP of $2,419.

Another Vigor’s gaming laptop with a 17-inch 1920×1200 widescreen display is the Artorius PRO. It is based on the Intel “Santa Rosa” notebook platform and a single NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT video card, and features a hard drive with up to 250GB of storage. The base price of the Artorius PRO is $1,925.

The Ares PRO is a notebook offering a 15.4-inch widescreen 1680×1050 display, a Intel Core 2 Duo or the Core 2 Extreme X6800 desktop CPUs, the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics card, and also up to 250GB HDD. The basic Ares PRO configuration has a $1,899 price tag.

At last, the Ares laptop is aimed at price-conscious users. The Ares features Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors and the NVIDIA’s GeForce 8600M GT. It has a 15.4-inch 1280×800 or 1680×1050 display, depending on customers choice. The Ares’ base price is $1299.

Standard features on all new Vigor laptops include a 8X DVD+/-R/RW optical drive, built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, a TV tuner with optional remote, a built-in video camera from 1.3 to 2.0 megapixels depending on the model, Hi-def 3D digital audio, memory expandable to 4GB on all models, a 56K modem, and the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit preloaded with the original DVD. In addition, the Artorius PRO, Ares PRO and Ares notebooks have built-in fingerprint readers.
