Toshiba Satellite CL45-C4330 14″ Laptop PC (Intel Celeron N2840, 2GB / 32GB, Burshed Black)
All the specs of the Toshiba Satellite CL45-C4330 laptop PC are very basic. The affordable 14-incher has the budget-class 1366-by-768-pixel non-touch display accompanied by a non-backlit keyboard. The included Celeron N2840 dual-core processor (review) is powerful enough to handle the basic daily web, productivity, communication, multimedia playback, and lightest gaming, but not much more than that. The won’t perform very well when it comes to multitasking, because of the small 2GB system memory. 32GB of storage space is also modest, too, especially given that Windows 10 takes up a half of that space. At least, you can use an SD card for additional storage space.
The rest of the specs sheet doesn’t bring any major surprise, nor disappointment. The laptop includes stereo speakers, a 720p web camera, a USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI video connector, a headphones / microphone combo audio port, 802.11N Wi-Fi interface, and Bluetooth.
A good selling point of the CL45-C4330 is its decent battery capacity of 45 WHr, which translates to “up to 7 hours” of power autonomy, according to Toshiba.
The machine weighs in at 4.2 pounds and is 0.9″ thick, so it’s reasonably portable travel companion.

What about upgradability? Can the RAM be expanded, an optical disc installed, an HDD added?

I’m not sure about RAM, but can tell you that eMMC/SSD storage is very likely soldered onto the motherboard and therefore not replaceable with a hard drive. There’s no place for an optical drive in the chassis, so you can only use an external USB DVD.
