Toshiba Satellite CL15T-B1204X Cheap 11.6″ Touchscreen Laptop
The Toshiba Satellite CL15T-B1204X is one of the cheapest touchscreen laptops. If features a small 11.6″ display, entry-level processor, low system memory and storage capacities, but also very low pricing at below $250.
The 2.9 pound CL15T-B1204X with a 0.8” profile is based on the Intel Celeron N2840 dual-core processor, which belongs to the lowest-end of the laptop CPU spectrum. It’s however suitable for the daily computing tasks of the average user and some entry-level gaming, as described in this review. What’s more problematic is inclusion of only 2GB of system memory, which is good only for light multitasking, such as having just a handful of web browser tab and programs running at the same time. Another drawback is small storage space provided by a 32GB eMMC drive. Since Windows installation takes about half of the space, you’ll be left with just about 15GB for user’s files and programs. Unfortunately, memory and storage aren’t upgradeable on this model. But thankfully, new Windows 10 which is pre-loaded on the CL15T enables you to put Windows store apps on a memory card. That wasn’t possible on the previous Windows 8.1 version. The notebook has a multi-format media card card slot for storage expansion.
The Satellite CL15T-B1204X doesn’t shine when it comes to the screen either, but that’s expected for a notebook at such a low price point. The touch display has mediocre 1366-by-768-pixel resolution and lacks IPS technology for wider viewing angles. The touchscreen is accompanied by a fairly large keyboard without numeric pad and a spacious trackpad.
Furthermore, the laptop has stereo speakers, a frontal 720p webcam, only 2 USB ports, HDMI video output, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, a combo audio jack, WiDi technology for wireless video output, and the aforementioned media card reader.
We have no info on battery life, but given the included one has a capacity of just 29 WHr, you can expect exceptionally long run time on a single charge.
If you have a bit more cash to spend on your next touch-enabled ultraportable, the Toshiba L15W-B1208X with a faster processor, larger RAM and storage, and convertible design might be a better choice.

I wanted a small, portable, laptop for two things: accessing the internet (to check my email) and writing on Microsoft Word. When I looked at this model in the store, I did not type enough on the keyboard, and that’s my own fault. For a seasoned typist (I don’t hunt and peck), the keyboard seems to stick a lot…the keys are “springy” like on other laptops. Therefore, I’m ALWAYS needing to use the backspace key because the keyboard won’t pick up every letter I press. It’s either press really hard on each key and slowly, or type fast and go back later to check the document word for word. And like the previous reviewer said above, it can’t ever do the Windows 10 update because there is not enough storage to do it! So, I will be trading this back to Best Buy for $50 to purchase a laptop with more memory (just to do it’s updates) and with a better keyboard for writers like myself.

If what you are looking for is a basic PC at a low price, this is it.. Simply a low priced touchscreen, I’m using it as a travel computer as I found that my Galaxy S-5 was just too fiddly to reliably edit reports (my wife’s Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 was just as hard for me to edit files in MS Word) It’s the right size for me and has just enough computing power to run some old games for those long flights.. Windows 10 runs well even with 2GB RAM but storage is a problem with only a 32GB available..Windows 10’s installation uses over half that, but with a 64 GB SD card added, it has enough storage to do the job. Battery life is good, with over 5 hours during average use.. know this the unit is not internally upgradeable in any way, so remember, you get what you pay for..
If you’re not going to be editing graphics files or a lot of rendering/modern game playing
(Battlefield 3 and higher are Non-starters) this is a good unit for the price.
